Q. So, Teresa, what systems did you use when you first started your portfolio?
Spreadsheets!
It was a total nightmare and completely time consuming. Having to store data in lots of different places led to data being repeated and overwritten, it was also hard to keep all that data up to date, leading to immense difficulty and confusion.
We realised pretty early on that we needed a more scalable system!
Q. What sort of challenges did you encounter when using spreadsheets?
I think it was mainly trying to keep spreadsheets up to date which ultimately caused communication problems when you’re trying to co-manage it with others.

I did!

Initially the main point of interest was being able to use the mobile app which gave me access to data on the move. The access to the information at the touch of a button has proved invaluable.
For the first time ever in thirty odd years I can access information within seconds, no matter where I am on performance per house to see what types of properties make the most money as well as the types of tenants!

I work closely with someone who looks after all my tenants and now she’s able to log expenses like repairs, maintenance costs and everything else easily with Alphaletz. I’m able to see everything too!

I also love the task element. It helps me set tasks for future reference so I can stay compliant and in control of my day-to-day operations as well.
